"As amended to date, the New Jersey Constitution vests judicial power in 'a Supreme Court, a Superior Court, and other courts of limited jurisdiction.' N.J. Const. (1947) Art. VI, §1, ¶1 (set out at Appendix C). The Constitution thus creates a three-tiered judicial system, consisting of various trial-level courts; an intermediate appellate court; and a final appellate court. All appellate review authority in New Jersey rests with those latter two courts: the Appellate Division of the Superior Court as the intermediate appeals court, and the Supreme Court as New Jersey's highest court and court of last resort."

Appeals In New Jersey
There are very few lawyers in New Jersey who have been Certified Civil Trial Attorney. In fact, only approximately 3%. Jeffrey Mandel is an appellate lawyer who also has trial experience. He thus has valuable insight that few appellate lawyers have of both the trial experience and the appellate experience. Not many lawyers in New Jersey have appeared as often as Jeffrey Mandel in the Appellate Division and in the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
